Here are some projects on which I am currently working.
I am in the process of translating into English Suomen lasten Kalevala (Kalevala for Finnish Children), published by Otava. Simply Read Books in Vancouver, BC, asked me to take on this challenging - but very intriguing - project.
I just completed a book on paper airplanes for the "Reading for Real" series, a program of Thomson/Nelson Publishers. Two other books I wrote for this series will be coming out some time in 2007.
I am also working on several creative writing projects of my own. Stay tuned...
Below are some of the events where my books will be for sale.
On Saturday, August 5th, 2007 you can catch me at the Franklin Gardens on Centre Island in Toronto, Ontario. It will be my third summer doing a presentation to children near the statue of Mother Goose. Come with your toddler or pre-schooler to hear about children from other lands, and learn how songs and stories have traveled around the world.
From June 27th to 29th, 2008 the 69th Annual Finnish Grand Festival Finnjoy will be held at the Mel Lastman Square in Toronto, Ontario. I will be having a table at the tori (marketplace), where I will be selling my books, paintings and hand-painted glasses.
